1. Purpose of this disclaimer
This disclaimer exists to make the boundaries of our work unmistakable. Visionentive (“Visionentive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an advisory consultancy. Because our work concerns digital systems and workflows, it is essential that clients understand precisely how we engage with their technology — and, just as importantly, how we do not.
This page should be read together with our Terms of Service, Service Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy. Where it clarifies the limits of our involvement with your systems and data, it is intended to govern that relationship and to remove any possible misunderstanding.
2. We do not access or connect to your systems
We do not request, require, or accept access to your live or production systems. We do not log into your accounts, connect to your networks, install software in your environment, or take administrative control of any platform, application, or device belonging to you or to any third party.
Our advisory work does not depend on such access. We form our recommendations from information that is described to us and from documentation that you choose to share, not from operating your systems on your behalf.
3. We do not process, store, or migrate your data
We do not process, host, store, back up, transfer, or migrate your live business data or the personal data of your customers, employees, or other individuals. We are not a data processor for your production data, and we do not act as an intermediary that moves data between systems.
- We do not extract, copy, or hold your operational databases or records.
- We do not perform data migrations, conversions, or imports and exports between platforms.
- We do not monitor, capture, or retain data flowing through your tools or services.
4. The level at which we work
Our engagement operates at the level of structure, process, and documentation. We study how your organization is set up to work, we describe and map workflows, we review how categories of tools relate to one another, and we prepare written guidance, overviews, and roadmaps for you to consider.
In other words, we work with the shape of your systems and processes — how things are organized and how they could be organized better — rather than with the live contents of those systems. This is what allows us to remain independent and to keep your data firmly in your hands.
6. Your sole control and responsibility
At all times, and regardless of any engagement with us, you retain sole ownership of and responsibility for your systems and data. This responsibility does not transfer to Visionentive in whole or in part, and engaging us does not reduce or replace any obligation you have.
- You are responsible for the security of your systems, accounts, and data, including access controls and protective measures.
- You are responsible for backups, continuity, and recovery of your own data and systems.
- You are responsible for your compliance with all laws and obligations that apply to you, including those relating to data protection and privacy.
- You are responsible for whether and how you implement any recommendation we provide.
7. No data controller or processor relationship over your production data
Because we do not access or process your live or production data, Visionentive does not act as a data controller or a data processor in respect of that data. We do not determine the purposes and means of processing your business or customer data, and we do not carry out processing of it on your instructions.
To the limited extent that we handle ordinary contact information you provide to us — for example, when you make an enquiry — we do so as described in our Privacy Policy, separately from and without any involvement in your production systems.
8. Examples and illustrations are abstracted
Any examples, diagrams, sample structures, or illustrations we use in our deliverables or communications are generalized and abstracted. They are intended to explain concepts and possible directions, and they do not reproduce your confidential data or represent the live contents of your systems.
Where we reference categories of tools or generic workflow patterns, we do so for explanatory purposes only. Such references are illustrative, are not endorsements, and do not imply any connection to or processing within your actual environment.
9. Relationship to our Privacy Policy and changes
This disclaimer concerns our relationship with your systems and production data. For information about how we handle the limited personal information you provide directly to us, such as enquiry details, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which sits alongside this disclaimer.
We may update this disclaimer from time to time for clarity or to reflect changes in how we work. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown on this page. If any provision of this disclaimer is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
